Royal Wedding! Lady Gabriella Windsor, Prince Harry’s Cousin, Is Engaged to Thomas Kingston
Hopefully, the royal family saved the decorations from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding and will do so again after Princess Eugenie’s upcoming nuptials, since they’ll soon have yet another royal wedding to host.
On Wednesday, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement that Lady Gabriella Windsor is engaged to Thomas Kingston, and they’re set to wed sometime in spring 2019, according to The Telegraph. Kingston proposed in August, while he and Lady Gabriella were vacationing on the Isle of Sark.
Lady Gabriella is the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, first cousin to Queen Elizabeth II, according to People. Per The Telegraph, “Ella” is a senior director at Branding Latin America and regularly contributes to publications like The London Magazine. Kingston, meanwhile, works in frontier market investment as a director of Devonport Capital. Interestingly, Kingston reportedly previously dated Pippa Middleton. But there appear to be no hard feelings between the Middletons and the Windsors, since Ella and Thomas attended Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews in 2017, according to royal correspondent Rebecca English.
Before Lady Gabriella Windsor walks down the aisle, however, another of her royal cousins will do so first. Her cousin Princess Eugenie is set to marry Jack Brooksbank next month. The big wedding will take place on Friday, October 12, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, the same place where Prince Harry married Meghan Markle earlier this year. Eugenie’s nuptials reportedly include an 850-person guest list, 1,200 more viewing spots for members of the public, and a mind-boggling budget. Luckily, Ella and Thomas will have several months to figure out how to top her other cousins’ royal weddings—they’ll need it.
