Jennifer Lopez Said Yes to A-Rod’s Secret Paris Proposal!
Are those wedding bells we hear?!
An insider exclusively tells Life & Style that Jennifer Lopez couldn’t say no when her boyfriend, Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez, asked for her hand in marriage during their recent trip to Paris.
“He got down on one knee and asked J.Lo to marry him,” the source says. “J.Lo burst into tears and said yes!”
According to the insider, Alex, 41, had originally planned on proposing underneath the Eiffel Tower. However, he decided against doing so in order to keep their engagement under wraps. “He ended up proposing to her in the privacy of there presidential suite at the luxurious Le Meurice hotel,” the source says. “It was the perfect romantic setting to pop the question.”
Though, as the insider says, “A-Rod has been telling J.Lo almost from the start that she’s the one,” the “Waiting for Tonight” singer was totally surprised and completely caught off guard.
Now that she has a wedding to plan, Jennifer couldn’t be more excited. “She’s crazy about A-Rod,” says the source, “and loves everything about him.”
As previously reported, the pair — aka “J-Rod” — were quietly seeing each other for weeks before their relationship made headlines in early March. Since then, they have taken multiple vacations together, including trips to Miami, the Bahamas, California, and NYC. The duo first met years ago in May 2005 when J.Lo watched the baseball legend play in a Subway Series game between the Yankees and Mets at Shea Stadium in Queens.
During a March 31 appearance on The View, A-Rod only had the sweetest things to say about his hot new romance with Jenny From the Block.
“We’re having a great time. She’s an amazing, amazing girl. One of the smartest human beings I’ve ever met and also an incredible mother,” he said at the time. “She just likes simple things. I mean, she’s a very, very simple person. Loves family. Is a great sister. Is a great daughter.”
Jennifer shares nine-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, from whom she finalized her divorce in 2014. Alex shares daughters Natasha, 12, and Ella, 8, with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, to whom he was married from 2002 until 2008.
